What is Reformer Pilates?
Reformer Pilates is a dynamic, full-body workout using the Reformer machine, which features a sliding carriage, springs for resistance, and straps. This method is designed to strengthen your core, improve flexibility, and enhance overall body alignment. The Reformer allows for a flowing sequence of exercises that work multiple muscle groups simultaneously, making it ideal for improving overall strength and mobility.
Who is it good for?
Beginners: Easy to modify, the Reformer is great for those new to Pilates, offering support and guidance as you build foundational strength.
Athletes: The Reformer provides a challenging workout that complements athletic training by improving flexibility, balance, and core strength.
Injury Rehabilitation: The controlled, low-impact movements on the Reformer help individuals recover from injuries by gently strengthening muscles and increasing range of motion.
General Fitness: If you’re looking to tone your body, improve posture, and enhance overall fitness, Reformer Pilates provides a balanced, effective workout.

What is Tower Pilates?
The tower uses a fixed apparatus with springs, bars, and straps, focusing on controlled, isolated movements that promote core stability, muscle elongation, and precise alignment.
This method is particularly beneficial for those looking to address specific muscle groups, enhance posture, and gain deeper control over their movements.
Unlike the reformer you will not be on a moving bed making it ideal to work on stability.
Who is it good for?
Beginners: With adjustable resistance, the Tower is accessible for newcomers, helping them build strength and body awareness.
Advanced Practitioners: The Tower offers unique challenges with exercises that target specific areas, making it ideal for deepening your Pilates practice.
Rehabilitation: The stability of the Tower provides support for those recovering from injuries, allowing for safe, controlled strengthening of muscles.
Chronic Pain Relief: Those with long-term conditions or chronic pain will benefit from the Tower’s ability to provide low-impact, focused exercises that help alleviate discomfort and improve functional movement.

Mat Pilates is a foundational form of Pilates that uses just your body weight and a mat to perform a series of controlled movements. This method focuses on building core strength, enhancing flexibility, and improving overall body awareness. My Mat Pilates classes are designed to be accessible yet challenging, providing a balanced workout that can be done from the comfort of your own home. In our 1 hour private session on zoom I will use the BASI repertoire to work the whole body and with my eyes on you make correction where needed so you can get the most out of the workout.
Benefits of Mat Pilates
Core Strength: Mat Pilates is highly effective in targeting and strengthening the core muscles, which are essential for overall stability and posture.
Flexibility & Mobility: The flowing movements in Mat Pilates promote flexibility and improve joint mobility, leading to better movement patterns and reduced risk of injury.
Body Awareness: With an emphasis on precise movements and control, Mat Pilates helps you develop a strong mind-body connection, enhancing your posture and alignment.
Convenience: Practicing Mat Pilates at home via Zoom allows you to enjoy the benefits of Pilates without the need for specialized equipment or travel.
